Now THIS is why I love picking up vintage men’s clothing! 😍

The colors, the patterns, the collars… they just don’t make shirts quite like these anymore.

From bold Western-inspired designs and Hawaiian florals to those wonderfully faded, color-blocked beauties. Each one has its own personality.

I’ve been sorting through a lovely collection of vintage men’s shirts, and these are a few of my favorites.

A little Southwestern charm! ❤️

How lovely are these colorful woven bracelets?

I absolutely love the vibrant turquoise, coral red and black, and those wonderful geometric patterns. Each one has its own personality, and together they’re quite the statement!

They came from an estate with a fascinating collection of Native American art and textiles, which makes me even more curious about their history.

I’m still researching their origins, but the craftsmanship and colors caught my eye immediately.

Have you come across bracelets like these before? I’d love to learn more about them!

SOLD 😁…I don’t usually pick up clothing when I’m out treasure hunting. I’m pretty selective about what comes home with me!

My exceptions? Pre-1970s women’s clothing and quality designer or vintage menswear.

I’ve found that men’s vintage clothing is often beautifully made, the sizing tends to be more consistent, and it’s generally a pleasure to research and rehome.

So when I spotted this Patagonia jacket, it caught my attention. A practical, well-made piece with plenty of life left in it.

Sometimes it’s worth stepping outside your usual picking categories!

There’s something very satisfying about bringing an old tool back to life. 🪵

I picked up this lovely old wooden hand plane and gave it a gentle clean — nothing drastic, just enough to let the old wood shine again.

A little mineral oil, an ultra-fine 2500-grit pad and some patience on the iron revealed a BADENIA maker’s mark hiding beneath years of oxidation. BADENIA was a German woodworking-tool name, and the plane is also marked 1⅜”.

I haven’t been able to date the complete plane precisely, but the BADENIA name was in use in the early 1900s. I love that the original-style iron and wooden wedge are still with it — and that it carries all the knocks and wear of a tool that was actually used.

Just imagine how many pieces of timber have passed beneath it over the years.
