“I believe blockchain has huge potential in aerospace industry”

Juraj Zamecnik, a young Slovak startuper, has co-founded 3IPK, an aerospace project to boost the effectiveness of the global space industry concept.

The lack of reliable and durable certification data across the huge supply chain in aviation, automobile and nuclear sectors is the main predicament, assures Zamecnik. Due to that fact, no one can guarantee the originality of vehicle parts and equipment all along the merchandise .

Zamecnik is convinced that in order to ensure the required level of safety in supply chains and difficult processes taking place in those market sectors, we cannot ignore the industrial potential of blockchain technology. Transparency, information and tracking ability should constitute the elements facilitating the merchandise lifecycle.

3IPK provides the opportunity of trustworthy traceability from the moment of approving certification data to the point of receiving the product. Moreover, a secured supply chain and fingerprint identification system guarantee the originality of the all parts and significantly cut the cost of certification transaction.

Bikecount - smart for developing bicycle infrastructure

The number of cyclists among the countries of Central and Eastern Europe is rapidly growing. In Lithuania, creating long-distance cycling routes has become all the more popular. Hence, a website was created to track its development and provide users with necessary data on tourist cycleways around the city. As the urban infrastructure is being developed, the network still needs to be explored in greater detail to make the country much convenient for .

In order to meet that challenge, Bikecount.eu, a Vilnius-based start-up, in 2018 produced a precise and low-cost bicycle tracker that counts all of the bikes in the traffic. This app provides valuable statistics connected to bicycle infrastructure. Based on such information, cities can decide how much bike parking space is required, how many bikes are shared and quantify the need for additional paths. What’s interesting, the tracker can distinguish pedestrians and gather information about them as well thanks to information provided by CCTV.

So far, the Lithuanian capital has installed a few cameras on its streets. However, it’s just a beginning, convince developers: “We envision the future where cities become greener, where citizens switch cars to bicycles”.

RECORD IN: Ukraine

In Lviv region 400 volunteers planted around 80.000 trees in one day.

On a beautiful Sunday of April 6, over 400 volunteers, , forestry specialists and regular citizens with the support of the Ukrainian public organization Good.Act have established a new record – the largest number of trees was planted during one day.

“As a result of a nation-wide action “The Future of the Forest Is in Your Hands” we planted 77.350 trees. The representatives of the National Register of Records in Ukraine have documented that amount. We planned to start with 30.000, but it turned out that so many people were willing to help that we decided to go with as many as possible”, said one of the organizers.

It took 8 hours of hard work for the to break the record. Every two adult participants planted over 500 trees and each kid that took part in that action achieved the number of 50-70. The event organized last Sunday marked the 14th tree-planting session this year. The key goal of Good.Act organization is to enrich the of Ukraine with 50 million trees.

The company has produced new-generation green with a silent motor, energy efficiency system and zero emissions. Those can be used either for daily public commute or even for cargo transportations.

Moreover, you can take your boat anywhere – it can float on seas, lakes and rivers or it even at eco-zones where regular motor boats are forbidden.

The design of the boat is the result of a 4-year drawing up period. When the developer of Quadrofoil claimed that it’s something totally different from what we used to see in marine business before - he was right more than ever. The design of these vessels is definitely unique and distinguishable including all new high tech hydrofoil technologies. Breakthrough in treatment of patients with lung diseases

Doctors and now can use a personal system for monitoring and treating lung diseases including a portable spirometer, a phone app and a panel for a doctor for remote control of results and secure communication.

AioCare is a professional set consisting of a portable spirometer, a mobile application and an online panel for reading measurements.

The device allows you to perform a full spirometry test with a diastolic test. Analytical algorithms help to interpret measurements. When a patient uses AioCare at home, the can keep track of the results and consult if necessary.

Behind this project is , a project group with strong design, , mobile and medical competences, which aims to create solutions in the field of mobile health ( ).

The target group are patients with bronchial asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), amounting to about 400 million in the world. The problem of patients is the recurrence of dyspnoea and the necessity of frequent monitoring of bronchial obstruction. With , the life of COPD patients has become significantly easier.

A 16-year-old teenager developing innovative for kids with special education needs

As as 11, Ondrej Vrábel from Slovakia started creating for his friend with cerebral palsy. He wanted to create something to make her happy and help her learn new skills. Within 5 years, Ondrej became a of an award-winning startup developing apps for kids with special education needs.

The name of the app he created recently is Pinf Hry (“hry” meaning “games” in Slovakian). Pinf Hry are a didactic tool for children with intellectual disabilities such as autism or cerebral palsy. Ondrej’s games help children acquire new skills, including logical thinking, computing, writing and reading. Pinf currently features 25 revolutionary didactic games that are used in more than 200 institutions in and in many families at home.

For his groundbreaking work, Ondrej Vrábel received the LEAF Award, participated in Impact Incubator program, reached Slovak Under 30 list in 2018 and won the Krištáľové krídlo (Crystal Wing) award.

Usually, , both those hanging in homes and in shopping malls, are only for people to look at themselves. This is not the case with Abbys Glass, whose mirrors can be used as a marketing medium.

Abbys Glass is a company producing interactive mirrors for showrooms, beauty salons, hotels, etc.

The mirror is prepared in such a way that on its surface it is possible to view inscriptions, graphics and films. Importantly, the content can be updated on an ongoing basis and adjusted to the recipient of the advertisement via a or compatible with the mirror.

For example, in salons with its help the buyer can order clothes to the dressing room or use personalized offers. The built-in camera gives the shop the opportunity to analyze buyers' choices.

The startup, which only existed for several months at the time, has already won the nationwide competition "Discovery of the year 2015" and got to the semi-finals "Infoshare". According to the Start-up Challenge 2018 competition - it is one of the best startups in Poland in the Client & Lifestyle category.
