🎉 IT’S PARADE DAY, LINCOLN COUNTY!

Come out and help us PACK THE PARADE ROUTE! The Lincoln County Fair Parade starts TODAY at 5 PM on South Jefferson Street, travels through town past the Town Square Clock Tower, and finishes at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds.

And don’t head home when the parade is over — follow it right on out to the fairgrounds! ❤️

The Exhibit Building opens after the parade and stays open until 9 PM, so go see all the exhibits our community has worked hard to enter.

Then tonight:

🎶 Hidden Hook Ministries featuring Lee McBride — 6:30 PM, Building 1

🏁 ATV & Side-by-Side Rodeo — 7:30 PM

Come watch the parade, cheer everybody on, then spend the evening at the fairgrounds. Let’s SHOW UP for our Lincoln County Fair! ❤️💙

🎉 FAIR WEEK STARTS TOMORROW, LINCOLN COUNTY!

Tomorrow kicks off the 2026 Lincoln County Fair, and there’s plenty happening from morning until night!

Be sure to check out the schedule below, SHARE it with your friends, and make plans to get out and support as many Fair Week events as you can. ❤️

The parade starts at 5 PM, followed by more activities at the fairgrounds — so come on out and help us kick off a GREAT week!

🎉 THE LINCOLN COUNTY FAIR PARADE IS THIS WEDNESDAY!

We’re officially down to the final couple of days! If your business, church, organization or youth group already has a parade entry planned, now’s the time to put those finishing touches on it and get ready to roll. And if a full float isn’t happening this year, don’t forget the kids can still decorate their bicycles and join the fun! ❤️

✨ 2026 Parade Theme: Fall Nights and Fairground Lights

📅 Wednesday, September 9
⏰ Parade begins at 5 PM

📍 PARADE ROUTE & LINEUP

Starting Point: South Jefferson Street

Floats: Line up on Washington Street before 4:15 PM

The parade will travel through town, with entries judged again as they pass the Town Square Clock Tower, and will finish at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds. All entries are asked to continue with the parade all the way to the fairgrounds.

🚲 Bicycles: Line up at First Assembly of God Church by 4:30 PM.

🏆 FLOAT PRIZES

1st Place — $75
2nd Place — $50
3rd Place — $25

Float divisions include Commercial, Church, Non-Profit and Youth, plus a Sweepstakes Award for Best of Parade!

📢 SMOKE REPORTED IN & AROUND STAR CITY

We’ve received reports of smoke in and around Star City today. Two fire departments are currently out checking the area, but at this time, they have not located an active fire.

The smoke may possibly be drifting into the area from agricultural field burning.

🔥 Here’s how you can help:

If you see actual flames, an active fire, or can identify a specific point of origin, please report it immediately.

If you’re simply seeing or smelling the general smoke or haze already present in the area, emergency personnel are aware and are actively investigating. Please avoid unnecessary calls reporting only the general smoke so phone lines remain available for emergencies and specific information.

🚗 PLEASE DO NOT DRIVE AROUND LOOKING FOR THE FIRE. Extra traffic can hinder emergency personnel and make their job more difficult. The best way to help is to stay out of the area, keep roads clear, and let our fire departments do their job.

Stay alert. If you see flames or a definite point of origin, report it immediately — otherwise, please give emergency crews the room they need to work.

Y’all showed up BIG for the Star City Citywide Yard Sale!

We have officially reached 52 STOPS! 🤯❤️

As much as we hate to do it, we have to cut registration off here so we have enough time to turn all of this information into something shoppers can actually use.

Now we get to work creating:

And now comes one of the MOST IMPORTANT parts — getting the word out!

Over the coming days, The Lincoln Ledger will begin posting promotional posts for the Citywide Yard Sale. When you see those posts, PLEASE help us spread them far and wide!

👉 Share them to local yard sale and bargain groups.

👉 Share them with your friends and family.

👉 Send them to that friend who will drive 45 miles for a $2 bargain. 😂

👉 Invite people from surrounding communities to come spend the day in Star City!

We’ve built the sale. Now we need to bring the shoppers.

The more we all share and promote it, the more people we can bring into town — and more shoppers means better sales for everyone. 🤑🤑🤑

Lincoln County, this is the weekend to GET READY! 👀

🏆 Finish up those fair entries — art, crafts, photography, baked goods, flowers, produce and more. Most exhibits are entered Tuesday, September 8, from 8 AM–Noon & 1–5 PM. Nothing accepted after 5 PM.

🎉 And if you’re planning to be in the Fair Parade, now is the time to get those floats decorated and ready to roll!
