⛈️ Storms pop up on radar seemingly from NO WHERE!

👉 Some will claim it is HAARP, but on radar, you can barely see the outflow boundary which triggered storms over Jones County in only about 15 minutes!

👉 The damaging wind threat today has been upgraded to a 30%, this keeps us overall with a Slight Risk across Mississippi, but the odds of damaging winds have increased!

🌀 Hurricane Season Begins TODAY!

👉 While Hurricanes can happen OUTSIDE of Season, June 1st through November 30th is labeled as "Hurricane Season" because it is the most likely time for hurricanes to form, with the peak being in September!

📝 Here are the 2026 Atlantic Hurricane Names! These names were last used in 2020, as the Atlantic Basic has a rotation of 6 name lists, that rotate!

👉 There was one storm retired from the 2020 name list, this was Hurricane Laura, which became the strongest landfalling hurricane in the state of Louisiana! Laura reached peak intensity as a 150 Category 4 Hurricane & unfortunately took 81 lives. Hurricane Laura was also known for destroying the Lake Charles, Louisiana radar tower! Laura's name has been replaced with Leah.

👉 The threat of damaging winds (60+ MPH), has increased as we near the afternoon! Large Hail is also possible!

⛈️ Here is what tonight COULD look like on radar!

👉 This is FUTURECAST, using the HRRR Model, we also have the SPC Risk on the map, with the yellow being the Level 2, Slight Risk, and the green being the Level 1, Marginal Risk! The light green is just a general risk of thunderstorms!

⚡️ Overall, a line of thunderstorms will move through tonight, with some storms possibly being severe! This is a risk for Wind & Hail, NOT TORNADOES!

⛈️ Today, We have a Slight Risk (Level 2 of 5) across North Mississippi, with a Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 5) spanning down into Central & Southern Mississippi!

🕓 Timing: 2PM Monday - 6AM Tuesday

👉 This is primarily for damaging winds, but large hail can not be ruled out as well! This is NOT a tornado threat!

📌 There are two lines that will attempt to come through, the first one will go through Alabama, maybe clipping extreme northeastern Mississippi, however, the second line will move through Mississippi tonight, that will have the biggest threat!

I will make sure to keep you updated as I can!
