Parents - as we prepare for Iowa's Rose Festival, please remind your children to leave bikes, scooters, skateboards and any other mode of transportation at home if they plan on being uptown.

These modes of transportation will not be allowed on closed streets due to heavy foot traffic by festival attendees.

Kids will be asked to leave the first time, if they are seen using these items. The second time these items will be confiscated and returned on Sunday.

Please do your part to make the weekend enjoyable for everyone.

For Saturday, June 20th--Exciting changes for the Extreme Fun Zone on the north lawn of West Marshall elementary!

This year we will feature everything from laser tag to obstacle courses to inflatable games to bouncy houses for the younger kiddos and a full-on foam pit!

From 11 am to 5:00 pm you can buy an all-day ride wristband for ONLY $10!

For the littles...head to the Gutekunst Public Library north lawn for free face painting and balloon animals, tin can train rides, yard games, and this year the Shriner's will have spin art frisbees to make ($)! Plus the ever-popular tractor pull will be at 1:00 pm on the road in front of the library!

The Public Works Department would like to share they are currently flushing fire hydrants which may result in water discoloration at your faucet.

You are encouraged to run your faucet until the discoloration stops.
