Greetings Fam! We hope you all had an amazing Juneteenth holiday! As a commemoration of this day of freedom and our first episode last year we at CPK want to thank all of you who have tuned in, guest starred, and supported our journey. Francisco J. Ocasio is an individual who strives to help others. He is of Puerto Rican descent who identifies with the LGBTQ+ community and who has worked as an educator for 12 years. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in Teacher Education and Teacher Development at Montclair State University (MSU). His primary doctoral research interests include the disadvantages of LGBTQ+ staff members working within schools. He is passionate about creating safe spaces for his colleagues and his students while facilitating opportunities for educational risks within his classroom.

Ms. Fenelus serves as the Chief of Staff to Assemblywoman Shavonda E. Sumter of the 35th Legislative District. In her capacity as Chief of Staff, she manages the staff and day to day operations of the office. She also advises on various state issues and policy development, directs communication and coordination on behalf of the Assemblyman. She also directs intergovernmental, constituent and community relations for the office.

JD McCausland is a PhD student in Curriculum and Instruction at The Pennsylvania State University emphasizing in science education. He obtained his BS from Penn State in Environmental Resource Management and an M.Ed. from CUNY Brooklyn College. Currently, he is a secondary science teacher educator whose research focuses on the relationship between white supremacy, science, and science education.
