Staten Island Community Television (SICTV), now Community Media of Staten Island(CMSI) was founded in 1983 as a result of a franchise agreement between the city of New York and Staten Island Cable (now Spectrum). Permanently opened in 1988, CMSI is organized as a not-for-profit corporation under IRS Code 501C3 and currently has a board of directors appointed by the Borough President of Staten Island.

TOMORROW: Help us spread some holiday magic at our annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6:30 p.m. at Borough Hall Plaza (facing the ferry terminal).

The evening will feature Christmas carolers, hot chocolate and cookies, a dance performance and book giveaways.

And, don’t miss the arrival of Santa who will help us light the tree.

In the spirit of giving, we will be accepting new and unopened toy donations.

The Christmas Tree Lighting takes place in partnership with Community Media of Staten Island, Allstate, Joyce's Tavern and the Staten Island FerryHawks.

We are honored to host our Sixth Annual Holiday Toy Drive to benefit Beautiful Heartbeats Inc, Community Health Action of Staten Island, Seamen's Society for Children and Families, Project Hospitality, Uncle Chase Foundation, and K Woods Foundation this holiday season!

We are accepting unwrapped toys for children of all ages. Drop-off hours are Tuesday through Friday, 12 PM to 5 PM, and during show days until December 16th. 🎁🌟

Yesterday, the JCC crew of “The Get Together” wrapped up their final meeting and show taping of 2025 - and even brought a delicious breakfast spread to celebrate! ☕️
It’s been a year filled with amazing talk-show conversations, meaningful moments, and so much growth from this group.
We’re incredibly proud of how far they’ve come, and we can’t wait to see what next year brings!
