I have learned that it is easy to say we have faith when life feels comfortable. The real test comes when we have to trust God in the middle of fear, disappointment, waiting, and uncertainty.
Sometimes I have had to ask myself if my faith is only words, or if it is alive enough to move when God says move, trust when nothing makes sense, forgive when it hurts, and keep believing when I do not yet see the outcome.
The book of James says faith without works is dead. It also says even demons believe, and they shudder. That is powerful because it shows belief alone is not the full picture. It is possible to know about God and still not surrender to Him.
Real faith is not perfection. Real faith produces movement. It shows up in obedience, love, surrender, endurance, and trust.
I do not want a faith that only sounds good or knows the right words. I want a faith that lives.
