Today, Dr. Sam Bauer officially begins his new chapter at Stevens Point Orthopedics, and his journey home.

We had the privilege of capturing his story: from treating professional and high-level athletes in Florida, to returning to the very community where his passion for orthopedics first began.

Filming at Goerke Park the same field where he once played high school football - brought the story full circle. An ACL tear in those days, and the care he received from Dr. Banovetz, set him on the path to a career in health care.

Last week was Alex's last week here at Thousand Lumens.

Alex, for the past 4 years, you have brought so much drive, creativity, and laughter to everything we did. It didn't take long for the student to become the teacher when we first brought you on.

You were the backbone that helped us get through some hard times and you helped define what a Thousand Lumens project and team is. Words will never be able to express the impact you have had on Thousand Lumens and our entire team. You will be leaving an incredible and enduring legacy here.

While we will miss you incredibly, we're so excited to see what amazing things you do next. We were truly fortunate to have had you on our team for as long as we did, as is the case for your new team. Cheers, our friend and thank you.

We had a great time on set this month with our longtime client, Stevens Point Orthopedics! Their team embraced a fun, creative concept to highlight their second location, and we loved bringing it to life.

Introducing our new Marketing and Content Intern- Lilly Mleziva!

Lilly is a Junior at UW-Stevens Point majoring in marketing. She enjoys hanging out with friends and family, working out, and going up north. She is most excited to lead the development of a social media campaign and evaluate social media sucess.

Here is a little behind the scenes following Jade while we filmed with Bucket Ruckus!

Telling Kelly's story has been one of the highlights of our year. In addition to being the Founder of Bucket Ruckus, she is incredibly resourceful, thoughtful, and humble. But most of all, she is a force of nature.

It was incredible to learn about the power of composting, her journey to creating Bucket Ruckus, and the impact she wants to create through this movement. Her passion for her work and doing good is contagious, and she's already built a thriving user base in Stevens Point! We can't wait to watch it grow even more.

With 4.6 million tons of garbage and recyclables entering Wisconsin's disposal stream every year, there's lots of work to do. And hey--we're here, doing it already, and ready to take on more.
