New Music Alert! The Damned covering Pink Floyd's "See Emily Play" from their forthcoming covers album "Not Like Everybody Else". The album is a tribute to Damned founder / original guitarist Brian James who died last March. Captain Sensible is on vocals for this one. After Brian left The Damned after their second album "Music For Pleasure", Sensible moved from bass to lead guitar in 1978... These are the songs (on the forthcoming album) that influenced James' musically.

Jimmy Cliff, singer, songwriter and star of 'The Harder They Come' and an ambassador for reggae music, has died. He was 81.

Aww... Stone Roses were such a great band and we play them often on WAKI. RIP Gary ‘Mani’ Mounfield, the Stone Roses and Primal Scream bassist, dies at 63.

Ian Brown and Tim Burgess were among those to pay tribute to Mani, whose death was announced by his brother and nephew
