In 2024 the National Park Service opened public comment on a rule banning OHV's in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and other potential restrictions. NPS then published the rule banning OHV's from the NRA. BRC filed an appeal to this rule, as several of these trails are popular for OHV access. I

The fight isn't over...

Remember how close we came to having "conservation" named as a multiple use? Biden's land grab would have illegally redefined BLM's mission and disrupted all actual multiple uses; grazing, extraction, logging, motorized recreation, etc. The "Conservation" rule would have allowed foreign entities (NGOs) to buy up "conservation" permits, putting countless millions of acres of American land in the hands of other nations and forever out of the reach of producers. Thank God we dodged this bullet.

Perfect day for painting the fence/gate. Got nearly 80° in central OK today. Of course I had to yank the freedom panels. Spending time together, getting things done (the gate turned out really well as you can see), and enjoying the weather made for a pretty good day.

Took the JK (his Jeep) to the hunting lease to scope things out in preparation for opening day of rifle season. Offroading for Oklahomans! 😁 That JK knows this place very well. Rifle season opens tomorrow in Oklahoma. Is hunting part of your outdoor adventure repertoire?
