Who else loves hot peppered vinegar? Growing up I wasn’t so much of a fan but over the years my palate has been transformed by my husband’s love for spice. Now I love it!
Taking the remaining jalapeños and banana peppers from the garden, I cleaned them, sliced them and placed in sterilized bottle. I boiled raw, organic apple cider vinegar (with the “mother”) and a tsp of salt and poured over the peppers to soak. After two weeks it will be ready to be enjoyed. I leave the peppers in as the taste becomes even better over time.
So, is this just a southern thing?
