Flash Flood Warning for...
Northwestern Donley County in the panhandle of Texas...
Southwestern Gray County in the panhandle of Texas...

* Until 330 PM CDT.

* At 1231 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain
have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 2 to 4 inches in 1
hour. Additional rainfall amounts up to 3 inches are possible in
the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Lake Mcclellan and Alanreed.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of the Panhandle of Texas, including the
following counties, Donley and Gray.
* WHEN...Until 300 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1149 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Pampa, Mclean, Lefors, Alanreed and Lake Mcclellan.

following counties, Potter and Randall.

* WHEN...Until 200 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Overflowing poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or
other areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1139 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1 inch of rain has
fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

HUTCHINSON COUNTY, TEXAS — Texas Panhandle Updates is excited to help spotlight two upcoming community celebrations in Hutchinson County this September, bringing together residents, families, and visitors for hometown fun, fellowship, and community pride.

The Stinnett 100 Birthday Celebration will take place on Saturday, September 12, 2026, in Stinnett, Texas. Community members are invited to celebrate the rich history and spirit of Stinnett with activities, entertainment, food, and local fellowship. This annual tradition highlights the pride and heritage that make Hutchinson County communities special.

Following the celebration, the community will gather for the annual Howdy Neighbor Day on Saturday, September 19, 2026, in Fritch, Texas. Howdy Neighbor Day continues to be one of Hutchinson County’s favorite traditions, featuring family-friendly events, local vendors, entertainment, food, and opportunities for neighbors to come together and celebrate the spirit of the Texas Panhandle.

Have reports of a serious accident on HWY 152 near Laketon. This wreck will be between Laketon and FM 2857.
At this time both directions are CLOSED as emergency crews work the scene.
