🥢 6 Essential Asian-Style Sauces You Can Make at Home
1️⃣ Soy Sauce Substitute
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups beef broth
4 tbsp balsamic vinegar
2 tsp molasses
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1 pinch garlic powder
1 pinch white pepper
Instructions:
Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan.
Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
Reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes or until reduced by half.
Cool completely before storing.
2️⃣ Teriyaki Sauce
Ingredients:
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup water
2 tbsp light brown sugar, packed
1 tbsp honey
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp cold water (slurry)
Instructions:
Combine soy sauce, 1/4 cup water, sugar, honey, ginger, and garlic powder in a saucepan over medium heat.
Stir until sugar dissolves.
Whisk in the cornstarch slurry and stir constantly until thickened (1-2 minutes).
Remove from heat and cool.

1/2 cup liquid reserved from canned oysters

Instructions:
Whisk peanut butter, soy sauce, lime juice, maple syrup, chili garlic sauce, and ginger in a bowl.
Add warm water one tablespoon at a time, whisking until the sauce reaches your desired thickness.
