I sat in a restaurant in Spain and the violinist insisted on playing ‘Yesterday’ right in my ear. Then he asked me to sign the violin. I didn’t know what to say so I said, ‘OK,’ and I signed it, and Yoko signed it. One day he’s going to find out that Paul wrote it.[1971] But I guess he couldn’t have gone from table to table playing ‘I Am The Walrus’. [1980]

I'm not the kind of person that is well acquainted with big words. I've heard 'em, but don't use them very often. Big words tend to define or confine the big picture. It's enough to know that small fits into big, but big doesn't fit into small.

Some people think darkness is a thing. It's not. Darkness is simply the absence of light. There's no switch that turns on the dark. If you want it dark you turn off the light. So it seems to me anyway, that conflicts like we're experiencing in the Middle East, and conflicts in general are the result of the absence of light - In an abstract sorta way. People can't see their way out of it. Peace will come when it's well lit.

For that to happen we need visionaries, and visionaries are in short supply these days. A picture is not worth a thousand words. I post 'em anyway.

There are millions of ordinary people all over the world holding onto the light. I'm just one of 'em. I awake each day from the darkness of night, and am glad to be have arrived safely into a new day. "You may say that I'm a dreamer... But, I'm not the only one."
