Just got a heads up from Paul Shinn that KSTN is stunting. I'm hearing some basic Adult Contemporary stuff on 1420 AM as the new "Easy 105-9." (The 105.9 FM frequency is the co-owned K290AG translator.)

According to the (almost never wrong) Wikipedia entry for KSTN, this year marks 55 years (1957) since Knox switched the station to Top 40, and 50 years (1962) since Bill Drake came on board as consultant. Quite a milestone year!

The FCC's action also grants a waiver of shortspacing rules as applied to second-adjacent CUMULUS Rock KSAN (107.7 THE BONE) and CBS RADIO News KFRC-FM (simulcast of News KCBS-AM)/SAN FRANCISCO for the community of license change, since the move does not require a site change.
