I’m done staying quiet about this. 53 kilos GONE since mid-November.
I’m 88 years old. My wife is 56. For the first time in over a decade, I don’t feel like I’m just waiting around for life to end.
I’m writing this because I’m angry.
Angry at the doctors, the so-called diet experts, and the health industry that almost convinced us that becoming a prisoner in your own body is just “what happens” after 50. It’s not!
Everything came crashing down last November. We were walking toward a stadium for a game, and I didn’t even make it past the first row of the car park. I had to sit on a concrete barrier, gasping for air, while my grandkids looked at me with that look… pity.
That moment broke me.
My wife was struggling just as badly. Her joints were so swollen she couldn’t even hold a coffee mug without pain. We both knew — if something didn’t change fast, we weren’t going to be around much longer.
We did everything we were told to do.
Keto meals that tasted like cardboard.
“Water pills” that made us dizzy and miserable.
An expensive senior gym program that left us more inflamed than before.
By the second week of November, we’d given up.
Then something different happened.
An old friend of mine — a cardiologist with decades of experience — saw me struggling and didn’t give me the usual “eat less, move more” lecture. He said something I’ll never forget:
“Your body isn’t broken. It’s overloaded. And once you clear that, everything changes.”
He sent me an article explaining how, as we age, the body struggles to detox properly and how a simple daily drink can help reset that process. That’s where Detox Tea was mentioned.
We decided to try it. Once a day. Nothing extreme.
Here’s what happened next:
Late November:
Within 10 days, the burning in my knees stopped. I dropped 9 kg of inflammation and fluid alone. My wife’s face visibly slimmed before Thanksgiving.
December:
While everyone else was gaining weight over the holidays, we kept losing. Another 20 kg combined. We flew to visit family — and for the first time in years, I didn’t need a seatbelt extender. I cried in my seat.
January:
The energy came roaring back. I’m up at 6am. Gardening. Walking 4–5 km a day. Even my doctor started asking questions.
Today — February 10:
Together, we’ve lost 53 kg.
No starvation.
No gym obsession.
No medication.
Just helping the body clear what it’s been holding onto for years.
I’m sharing the article below because I’m sick of watching people my age suffer quietly while being told it’s “normal.”
If you’re over 50 and feel like your body is fading on you, please read it.
I’m not selling anything. I’m just sharing what gave us our lives back.
