Love Ultra Radio, the modern R&B mix show, focuses on educating the audience to vast amounts of urban-pop talent not serviced by the mainstream media. As host, Jah Prince interviews Grammy caliber artists such as Dwele, Floacist, Estelle, Stacy Barthe, Daron Jones (112), Rapsody, Noel Gourdin, Tony Momrelle, Zo!, Timothy Bloom, Meleni Smith, Chantae Cann, and more to further promote positive soul

music. With this increased demand in the region, Love Ultra Radio expanded the mix show to include a 'Motivational Moment' with RuSpeaks and Jay Barnett. They inspire the audience and talk directly about universal social issues on any continent. Broadcasting from Atlanta allowed the inclusion of a 'Comedy Segment' highlighting funny comics like Rodney Perry, A Jew, and A Black Guy, and DennyLive. With the launch of the website (www.iLoveSunsplash.com) on behalf of the parent company Sunsplash Media, check out and purchase the Love Ultra Radio series of mix CDs. These promotional CDs serve as a complement to the radio show, illuminating the best segments of mature music with a hint of pop and hip-hop, the key ingredient when Jah Prince creates. Project

ECHOES OF THE STORM:
20 YEARS AFTER KATRINA

MARCH 21, 2026 | 2:00 PM & 7:30 PM | Tickets: $10
Mary Schmidt Campbell Center for Innovation & the Arts At Spelman
440 Westview Dr. S.W., Atlanta, GA 30310

Echoes of the Storm, presented in collaboration with Spelman College, situates one of the nation’s most defining recent events within the continuum of remembrance and resilience. Developed by Junebug Productions and The Apollo Theater, this theatrical commemoration marks the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, a catastrophe that exposed the deep fractures of race, class, and policy in America while revealing the boundless strength of the Black South.

Eight playwrights - four based in New Orleans and the Gulf Coast states, and four Louisiana-born writers now based in New York - craft a mosaic of ten-minute plays reflecting on the storm’s enduring impact. Through intimate storytelling, dramatized memory, and documentary-style narrative, these works explore themes of loss, migration, home, and rebirth, tracing how the storm continues to shape identity and imagination two decades later. Directed by Aku Kadogo.

Echoes of the Storm premiered at the Apollo Theatre in September 2026 to sold out audiences, is presented in Atlanta this week and will complete its tour in New Orleans this summer to close the year long commemoration of Hurricane Katina.

Echoes of the Storm is presented in collaboration with the Spelman College Mary Schmidt Campbell Center for Innovation & the Arts. Support for the joint commission and development of Echoes of the Storm was provided by The Apollo Theater and Junebug Productions. Local Support provided by Fulton County Arts and Culture and NBAF donors.

“For nearly five decades, the Atlanta Jazz Festival has reflected Atlanta’s rich cultural heritage and creative spirit. At Bank of America, we believe the arts play a meaningful role in strengthening communities and bringing people together through shared experiences. Music is an important part of Atlanta’s story, and we’re proud to support an event that showcases worldclass talent while celebrating the city’s deep musical roots.” - Al McRae, president, Bank of America Atlanta

This year marks an exciting new chapter for the festival as it welcomes two dynamic partners to help propel the Atlanta Jazz Festival to new heights: Sol Fusion—the powerhouse creative force behind One Music Fest—serving as Festival Manager, and Next Level Events, leading artist booking and management.

The 49th Annual Atlanta Jazz Festival is presented by the City of Atlanta – Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs. Its mission is to educate and entertain a diverse audience of jazz fans while nurturing the next generation of jazz musicians. The festival is funded through corporate sponsorships and Atlanta Jazz Festival, Inc., a 501(c)(3) cultural nonprofit organization.
