In 1996, 12-year-old Danny Meyer of Maybrook, NY was brutally murdered by 21-year-old Juan Peinado, who was posing as a 14-year-old. Once again, Peinado is up for parole in a few weeks. Please listen to our episode “My Good Friend Danny Meyer” and decide for yourself if this murderer should go free. If you are against releasing this predator, than please sign the petition below, or write to the parole board, but please do it soon!

He is a meticulous researcher with an obsessive drive to obtain as much primary source material and documentation as possible for each case. For this book, Michael compiled a total of 635 sources in order to tell the complete story, including some never before seen court records and other documents.

On Saturday, June 4, following the 130th anniversary of this crime on June 2, Michael will read an excerpt from his book, answer some Q & A, the books will be available for sale, and all will be followed by a historical walk through down town Port Jervis and the events of the crime.
