SMAC is proud to present "In the Service of Women"— a historical documentary exploring the life of Bessie T. Capen, a Stoughton-born educator, businesswoman, and philanthropist.

Born in 1838 at the Capen-Reynolds Farm, Bessie Capen broke barriers as one of the first women admitted to MIT. She went on to dedicate her life to expanding access to higher education.
