Many thanks to the talented Yuhan Su for sharing her thoughts on her latest, incredible record, OVER the MOONs. Check out our conversation on the blog, and do listen to and support Yuhan for creating such boundary-pushing music.

We appreciate Yuhan’s time speaking about her latest odyssey of a record, OVER the MOONs. It’s an intriguing listen, featuring fiery jazz solos, noise-collage-esque digital experimentation, and a punk, frantic energy that is unique and awe-inspiring. Please support her by listening and buying th...

Beach walks are always fun, but they sometimes can feel downright magical. Not to get too cheesy, but these two lovers come into contact with something that challenges and encourages them to take the plunge with each other. I highly recommend reading while listening to Stan Ridgway’s album, The Way I Feel Today.

Stan Ridgway created a record that’s so multi-faceted and gorgeous to listen to. I feel as though I’m transported into a stage play. I’m reminded of the time I went walking on long walks on the beach in Santa Barbara with my wife. Of course, it’s not a Remote Focus tale unless there’s the ...

This piece was inspired by the fun motifs all over this excellent EP by KNOWER, Some Thingies. I felt like the happiest introvert, floating above a crowd on a balloon made of bubblegum. Sounds oddly fun? Find out what else our protagonist gets up to in our latest post, and be sure to listen to KNOWER’s excellent EP.

What’s that walking on the side of the building? Is it a spider, a squirrel, or perhaps a spider-squirrel? No. It’s yours truly’s fantastical imagination at work, inspired by KNOWER’s lovely album, Some Thingies, which is full of oddly uplifting dance jams.

Would you like to forget about the past? Start over? Strangely, Move D’s excellent, underrated gem, Kunststoff, was a great backdrop to describing the predicament of Cedric, a boy who’s on the fence about joining his elders’ ideology of literally letting go of your pain and suffering to redefine yourself.

If I’m honest, I’ve no idea why I was inspired to write about a cult’s indoctrination of youth after listening to Move D’s seminal album, Kunststoff. You never know where the wind takes you sometimes while writing blogs!

Even As We Speak is a fantastic record. I’m reminded of the melodic meanderings of Oneohtrix Point Never, crossed with sampledelic collage music from the 70s and 80s. I was inclined to write about a boy attempting to explain his, along with his classmates’, dire situation to the rest of the world. Does his audience receive the message? Read on to find out!

This house classic, “Burning,” is highly recommended for anyone looking to celebrate those brief pockets of hope in a nihilistic future. Kinda specific? Well, that’s how we felt writing this piece while listening to the driving rhythms and strings conjured by the great Pépé Bradock.

Ever feel like you’re under the man’s watchful eye? Pépé sure does in this piece about a data-driven, post-apocalyptic hellscape. Big thanks to the enigmatic Pépé Bradock for coming through with a house classic: “Burning.”

This album by Lorenzo Senni reminds me of what it must feel like to experience hypnagogic hallucinations. It’s so maximal, spurting vivid colors with every synth note. A must-listen.

Feeling hungry? I sure was for some new music gear—that is, before I got scammed! Let this be a precautionary note about what really motivates scammers deep at their core. Spoiler alert: it’s as deep as a paper cup of ketchup from the golden arches!

A while ago, I was scammed while attempting to purchase some music gear. I was reminded of the scam ‘artist’ while listening to this vaporwave classic by Saint Pepsi and Luxury Elite. Give the album a listen and give the post a read!
