Good morning, ghost besties! 👻🖤

I know y’all are probably tired of seeing this schoolhouse by now… 😂 But when you have a 1929 photo of the same place you’re standing in today, you can’t just look at it once and move on.

Nearly a century apart, and yet the bones of this place are still there.

Back then, this was a school filled with life, learning, and the everyday sounds of children. Today, it stands quiet, weathered, and carrying nearly 100 years of history.

The paint changes. The windows age. The world moves on. But somehow, a little piece of what was remains.

So yes… another schoolhouse post. 😂🏚️
And honestly, I’m not even sorry.

Some places just deserve a little extra attention. 🖤👻

1929 → Today
Same schoolhouse. Different chapter.

📸 Photo note: We do not own the second photo. It was sourced from Google for comparison/educational purposes. If this is your photo and you would like credit added or the image removed, please reach out to us.

RY DIE ❤️

RY DIE ❤️

🩸 RY DIE

Vigilante. Criminal. Protector. Accidental Prince Charming.

Ry Die was never the kind of man who waited around for justice to find him.

He had his own way of dealing with people who deserved it—and the law wasn't exactly his biggest concern. A vigilante with a criminal record and a twisted sense of justice, Ry Die lived somewhere between “technically a bad guy” and “maybe he had a point.”

Then one day, he saw her.

A little china doll sitting on a shelf.

Liv.

She had spent her existence being treated like decoration—put on a shelf, admired for a moment, and forgotten about. Until one day, she fell.

Ry Die happened to be there when it happened.

Instead of putting her back where she belonged, he took her.

Maybe it was curiosity. Maybe he felt sorry for her. Maybe he just liked the idea of having a creepy little accomplice.

Whatever the reason, Liv went with him.

But Ry Die had no idea what he had actually taken.

Then came the kiss.

One simple kiss that should have meant nothing...

And somehow, it brought her to life.

Suddenly, the doll wasn't a doll anymore.

She could move.
She could speak.
She could think.
And she definitely had opinions.

Ry Die accidentally created the one thing he never knew he needed: a partner who was every bit as strange as he was.

Now the two of them are together, embracing the darkness, making questionable choices, finding humor in the macabre, and causing just enough trouble to keep things interesting.

Ry Die may have started as a vigilante with a questionable moral compass...

But when it comes to Liv?

He chose her. And he'd choose her again.

Because sometimes the villain gets the girl.

And sometimes...

the villain is the reason the girl gets to live. 🖤🩸

👻 Ghost Besties, there was something about this old flagpole that caught our attention.

Standing outside the old schoolhouse, weathered by years of wind, rain, snow, and time, it’s easy to overlook. But when you stop and really look at it, you start wondering about everything it has witnessed.

There was a time when this flagpole stood over a very different place.

Children would have walked through those doors each morning. Teachers would have gathered their students for another day of lessons. The flag would have flown overhead while generations of local kids learned, played, laughed, and probably got into a little trouble along the way. 😂

Now?

The flag is gone.
The classrooms are quiet.
The footsteps have stopped.

But the flagpole is still there.

Still standing.

Still reaching toward the sky as if it never got the memo that the school closed decades ago.

And honestly, Ghost Besties, that’s one of the things we love about exploring forgotten places. You don't always need something paranormal staring you in the face to feel the weight of a location. Sometimes it's the simplest things—a doorway, an old window, a tree growing through a forgotten space, or a lonely flagpole—that make you stop and think about the people who were here before us.

We may never know how many mornings that flag was raised or how many little eyes looked up at it.

But for a moment, standing there beside that old schoolhouse, it felt like the flagpole was still keeping watch.

Some things disappear with time.

Some things simply refuse to fall. 🖤

And this old flagpole?

It's still standing.

LIVin on the Edge 🖤

🖤 Meet LIVin on the Edge 🖤

Once a doll who spent far too much time sitting quietly on a shelf, looking pretty and pretending everything was fine.

Then one day… she had enough.

She fell off the shelf, cracked—but didn’t break. And somewhere between the fall and finding her way back up, she realized something:

You don't have to stay where you're placed.

Now she’s a little cracked, slightly unhinged, and absolutely done asking permission to take up space.

Dark humor. Questionable decisions. A little chaos.

And a reminder that sometimes the best version of you is the one that finally says, “Screw the shelf.” 🖤🔪

Welcome to LIVin on the Edge.
Where being a little broken doesn't mean you're broke.

It just means you've got character.

🖤 She didn’t need saving from the darkness. She needed permission to dance in it 🖤

Let's talk about 🏫 The Old Schoolhouse

There’s something about an abandoned school that makes you stop and wonder about all the lives that once passed through its doors.

This old schoolhouse was built around the late 1920s, originally serving the children of the local logging community. Over the years, the grades taught here changed, and at different points the school housed everything from kindergarten all the way through 12th grade.

And then there was the heat. 🔥

The school was coal heated, which meant keeping the building warm came with a whole lot of soot. The kids were affectionately—or perhaps not so affectionately—referred to as “soot babies.” We can only imagine what those classrooms looked like after a long winter day!

By the late 1960s, the school finally closed its doors when a larger school was built to serve the community.

But its story didn't end there.

During the 1980s, an excavation company purchased the property and used the building for their business. Eventually, the company left, the business became defunct, and the old schoolhouse was left behind.

It sat vacant for years, eventually drawing the attention of the EPA.

Today, the structure has definitely seen better days. The years have taken their toll, and nature is slowly reclaiming pieces of what was once a busy place filled with children, teachers, lessons, laughter, and probably more than a little mischief.

Standing outside of it now, you can't help but wonder...

What was this place like when the halls were full?

What did those classrooms sound like? What memories were made here? How many kids walked through those doors every morning, never imagining that decades later, someone would stand outside wondering about them?

The building may be abandoned now, but its history is still there.

And honestly... that's what makes places like this so fascinating. 👻🏫

Although we're home, we're already missing the majesty of the Old School House. 🖤🏚️

There’s something about standing in front of a place with that much history. The weathered walls, the forgotten stories, and that unmistakable feeling that time has left its mark.

We may not be able to walk through its halls, but even from the outside, this place has a presence that’s hard to forget.

Until next time, Old School House. 👻🖤
