“I call it the new abnormal,” said MK Monley, art teacher at Thatcher Brook Primary School in Waterbury. “I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t worried, because I am. But we’ll get through this.”

"The Record has never been profitable, but we were in this for the long haul. We started publishing the paper in 2007 to fill a news desert in a community we felt was on the upswing."

The top-ranked Harwood boys hockey team plays No. 3 Milton for the state Division 2 championship tonight at 6 p.m. at the University of Vermont’s Gutterson Fieldhouse.

Also tonight, the Harwood girls basketball team plays at the Barre Auditorium for the first time in 40 years, in a semifinal game against North Country. That game tips off at 8:15.

One Harwood team will play for a championship Wednesday night, March 11, and another will play for the right to fight for the title.
