Today the seniors of Conestoga High School will progress on into this chapter of their lives. As a senior, this editor wishes herself, her peers, and the students remaining in Stoga's walls, the absolute best. If you're feeling particularly sentimental, this editor also suggests that you pick up a copy of the recently published Folio, available in room 288 for the measly sum of 5 dollars. This edition of the Folio features the work of many seniors, whether they are members of the staff or student contributors: Sophie Carpenter, Annie Xu, Jodie Fong, Carly Milito, Rachel Klein, Dylan Pearce, Kate Edwards, Katherine Dautrich, Tracey Pugliese, Eric Margolis, and Caroline Mak. Congratulations to each of these scholars: we are so happy to have had you as part of our 2014 publication. Good luck!

Hello all! Just another friendly reminder that December 13th is our annual Inkwell or coffeeshop style fundraiser at the Tredyffrin Public Library. We would love to show off all the talent Stoga has to offer by having student musicians play. If you're in a band or play an instrument or sing or would like to recite any pieces of literature, then we'd love to have you perform. Please facebook message this account or email [email protected]!

A little delayed, but all the same: Welcome back, Stoga! We hope September treated you well and we're sure October will be even better. Get really excited though for December 13th when the lit mag will be hosting their annual fundraiser at the Tredyffrin Public Library and we want to show off all the talent Stoga has to offer by having student musicians play. If you're in a band or play an instrument or sing or can make noises people might be interested in, then we'd love to have you preform. Please facebook message this account or email [email protected] for more information.

"Dustoff is inbound, keep him awake."
This story comes from Thomas Gibbons-Neff, a veteran from the war in Afghanistan, who was inspired to write by a kickstarter project called Six Word War that asks for submissions cataloguing a combat experience. As high school students we might not have the same span of experience that a former soldier does but GN encourages those who haven't been in combat to write their memories anyways, and 'find the reason they were memories in the first place'.

Defined by limitation, urgent in its economy of language, the six-word story is a useful medium for chronicling individual experiences of war.
