Allegedly, the Louvre’s surveillance system password was… “Louvre.”
That’s the cybersecurity version of locking your front door and leaving the key under the "Welcome" mat!

But before you laugh too hard — learn from the Louvre's mistake and check your own passwords. If your WiFi password is still “SmithFamily123” or you think "P@ssw0rd" is totally unhackable, it might be time for an update. Keep these tips in mind:

✅ Change your WiFi, email, and social passwords now and then.
✅ Make them strong. (No, your birthday doesn’t count.)
✅ And maybe don’t use your own name as your password.

We’re not saying your Netflix account is the Mona Lisa… but it deserves protection too!

Another successful Halloween here at SMTC! We would like to thank everyone who stopped by our Halloween party! We’re grateful for the creativity and spirit you brought that made the event so fun! 👏

It was wonderful to connect, share some laughs, and celebrate the season together. We truly appreciate your continued support and enjoy being part of such an amazing community!☺️

We would like to extend a big thank you to the Stratford Iowa Lions Club for providing a hot meal and delicious desert and BashPop for the amazing balloon backdrop! 🎈🌭

Today’s the day we celebrate Kyle Anderson!

Kyle has worked as a technician for us since 2022 - though his history with Stratford Communications goes way back to his youth. He first joined our team as a seasonal helper in 2014 - check out that baby-faced throwback photo from his first summer with us! The rookie in that photo had no idea he would grow up to be one of our most trusted pros!

Kyle is known for his calm, steady approach to any situation and his conscientious attention to detail. Whether he’s troubleshooting an internet issue or helping a customer understand their equipment, Kyle always goes the extra mile with patience and professionalism. Customers love him, coworkers trust him, and we’re pretty sure he’s never raised his voice higher than a polite “hmm.” It’s no wonder our customers—and his coworkers—think so highly of him!

We’re grateful to have Kyle on our team and proud to celebrate his contributions today. Thanks for everything you do, Kyle!
