One of the coolest aspects of bowfishing is seeing the different setups that people use to shoot fish. We got this awesome picture from Wes Tykeson this morning, and he loves this setup for shooting fish in Oregon.

Here's a little backstory from Wes on his rig:

"A little history behind my rig. It began with the desire of having a lightweight hand launched boat that I could use in the Columbia slough in Portland for bowfishing. Luckily, I found a used one locally and gutted it and started a custom build of my own. The first thing I did was widen the profile of the floats for extra stability. It worked amazing well. I can stand anywhere on the deck without any worry of flipping it or falling in. I bought a swivel seat and pedestal, redesigned the hand railing to provide access to the rear of the boat, built a extention on the rear of the deck for my tackle box, (which I remove when bowfishing) built an extention for a bow mount and bought the latest and greatest Smarthead GPS head from Tiny Boat Nation so I can shoot my bow hands free 😀👍. The Boat is a head turner. If I was younger, I'd build them and sell them. People are always asking questions about it and taking pictures wherever I go. Love the Smarthead and along with my AMS Hooligan 2 and Mega Mouth 2.0 I'm able to usually fill both of my fish bags. 🐟"
