Dustin Harold Droste
June 19, 1981 – April 27, 2026
Dustin Harold Droste, 44, passed away unexpectedly on April 27, 2026, in Henderson, Nevada.
Born in Burlington, Colorado, on June 19, 1981, Dustin grew up in a community he loved. During his youth, he was often found hunting, playing sports, or spending time with his close friends. A proud graduate of Stratton High School, he was a dedicated athlete on both the football and baseball teams. He continued his education at Otero College in La Junta, Colorado, where he studied information technology.
Dustin relocated to Henderson, Nevada, and following successful tenures at Wild Horse Country Club and Rentsys, he served as an assistant baseball coach at Chaparral High School. He then dedicated 14 years to the Clark County School District as a skilled computer technician. Dustin was highly regarded by his peers not only for his expertise but for his character—defined by a generous heart and quiet commitment to helping others.
A lifelong golfer, Dustin was known for a drive that couldn’t be beat, but his greatest joy and favorite pastime was simply being with his children.
Dustin is survived by his wife, Kendal Gibbs; their three children, Cynthia, Violet, and Wyatt; his father, Frank Droste; his brother, Clay Droste and family; and his grandmother, Camilla Pelle. He also leaves behind a large, loving extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins across Colorado, California, and Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his mother, Deborah Kay (Pelle) Droste; his grandfather, Harold Pelle; his grandparents, Agnes and Joe Droste; and his great-grandparents, Louie and Martha Werner.
Due to the sudden nature of Dustin’s passing and the distance between his many loved ones, a memorial service will be held later this summer in Stratton, Colorado. Further details will be shared once arrangements are finalized.
