24 years ago, the US saw the worst attacks on our country since Pearl Harbor. When the planes hit the buildings in New York and Wasgington D.C., airspaces were closed and nearly 40 flights were diverted to Gander, Newfoundland. Residents there accepted their fate, became instant volunteers, and sheltered and fed 7,000 people for 5 days. It's an incredible story that the BBC documented on the Anniversary of one of the darkest days iin our country. Here's the link to the story!! ~ Chuck

Good Morning Poconos!! You know I love movies, and I think I've found a sleeper in this week's openings. It's called Bang Bang, starring Tim Lee Nelson. I've always loved his work in films like O Brother Where Art Thou and The Ballad of Buster Scruggs.
In this film, he plays an aging fighter who is reconnected with his estranged grandson. My pick of the week!!! ~ Chuck

Breakdancing started in New York City as a way for kids to express themselves. Now it's being used by one middle-aged man in New Jersey as a form of tax protest.
