One of the things that truly amazed me at Disneyland Resort was how magical the character interactions were. Characters weren’t just waiting in their usual spots for photos—they were everywhere throughout the parks. I saw them walking hand-in-hand with children, stopping to wave at excited adults, and finding little ways to connect with everyone they encountered. It didn’t feel rushed or staged. It felt genuine, like they wanted each person to have their own special Disney moment. Watching the joy on people’s faces (kids and adults!) reminded me that the magic of Disney isn’t just in the rides and shows, but in these spontaneous, heartfelt encounters that make you feel like you’ve stepped right into the story.

I’ve been asked many times since I returned from Disneyland to share my thoughts. It’ll come as no surprise that I’ve been happy to do just that 😂

I’ll be sharing quite a bit more over the next several days about our overall experience, but wanted to share some initial thoughts.

I loved it. If you’ve followed my personal page, you likely already know that. I truly enjoyed so much about this vacation, that it’s really been difficult to narrow down what we loved.

I’ll start by saying this: if you think you’ve done Disney because you’ve visited Walt Disney World, you haven’t. The two US parks are as different as comparing apples and oranges. On Friday evening, I left my family in Toontown at Disneyland Park to meet up with my fellow agents for the kick-off of Top Producers Retreat. I cried walking down Main Street U.S.A. 🤣

While I was SO excited for all of the surprises to come, my time with my family in the parks was coming to an end. We made some of the best memories last week— memories I will treasure forever, whether the kids remember as adults or not.

The joy, the laughter, the time outside of real life and real responsibilities.

This is why I love what I do— because I get to help you have the same moments, moments you’ll never forget.

Something that really surprised our family last night at Oogie Boogie Bash was how quickly everything moved! Before getting in our first Trick or Treat Trail, we considered finding another activity because the line looked SO long. But it MOVED! We saw 4 villains within 45 minutes of the party’s official start— based on the lines, we would have guessed that it would take that much time just to see one.

We’ll be spending today inside Walt’s park! Dreams have been coming true for my little family this week🩷

Packing tonight, and I’ve got a few thoughts swirling.

Even as a TA and an experienced traveler, I’m not immune to pre-trip stress. Did I pack everything? Will the kids do okay on the flight? How will we handle jet lag?

And still—we go. Because we love to travel, we love to explore, and we love the memories and adventures waiting on the other side.

I’ve shared that we’re going to Disneyland, and many of you know why, but here’s the BIG reveal!

Every year, Share the Magic Travel honors Top Producing Travel Advisors at a Top Producers’ Retreat. Last year, they announced that the retreat would be at Disneyland, and I just knew I needed to push to get there.

In November, I hit that goal. Next week, that dream becomes a reality. I feel so emotional thinking about what next week will look like— we’ve added extra time as a family so that we can spend time together in the parks before the retreat begins. My kids have been going to Walt Disney World since before they knew what it was (S went before she could hold her head up on her own😂), so I can’t wait to take in their wonder next week as we explore Disneyland for the first time together.

I love helping you make your dream trips a reality, but I hope you know that you’ve made my dreams come true, too.
