For a goat, everything is a playground.

We've been getting a lot of rain. So to give the goats a dry spot to escape the water, I moved the trailer into the pasture for some temporary housing. As you can see, the trailer became the jungle gym.

The 2026 Buck Wild Fish Roundup is a success! I had the idea to start this tournament in 2018 when I was chairman of the Martin County Young Farmers and Ranchers Committee. Thanks to some great team members along the way, including, most importantly, Nicole Perri Watson, who is the real reason for this tournament's success, we have completed 7 tournaments.

Looking through my Facebook memories I saw a picture from years ago with two goats in the background. It took me a minute to recognize them but then I remembered, when we were dating she bought me two goats for my birthday. I had never once mentioned I wanted goats. I don't even think I had thought about goats at that point. I had barely transitioned from horses to chickens.

Now it all makes sense. Those goats were never for me and they weren't just goats. They were for her and they were warning flags. Now we have 14 goats that are breeding and she still wants to buy more. I was so young and naive.
