Throwing it back to one of our favorite segments ever. 🌊

This one holds a special place in our hearts. On one of our American Dream Network segments, we had the honor of spotlighting Surfers for Autism, a 501(c)3 nonprofit right here in Stuart, Florida, and the work they do is something truly worth talking about.

Here is what they are all about:

* They provide FREE surf sessions for children and adults with autism and other developmental delays
* Every event is held in a safe, fun, and completely judgment-free environment
* The ocean itself plays a role, studies show that the rhythm of the waves has a genuinely calming and therapeutic effect on participants
* All donations go directly to keeping every single event free for participants and their families

Watching participants hit the water, try something new, and discover what they are capable of, it is one of those things that reminds you why community matters!

We are so proud to call Stuart home, and even prouder to have been able to shine a light on the people doing this kind of work here.

Stuart Beach is one of the most underrated stretches of coastline in all of Florida. No high-rise hotels blocking your view. No wall-to-wall crowds. Just wide open Atlantic shoreline, warm water, and the kind of laid-back energy that reminds you why people move here and never leave.

Here's what makes it worth the drive.

It sits right on Hutchinson Island, just minutes from downtown Stuart. It's a full-service beach, lifeguards on duty, clean restrooms, covered picnic areas, and a playground for the kids. TCPalm just confirmed what those of us who live here already know. Stuart has been ranked the best coastal town in the United States for the fourth consecutive year, and honestly, it is not hard to understand why!

This is a place where the waterways are not just scenery, they are a way of life.

Where the Sailfish Capital of the World is not just a tagline on a sign, it is a title this community has earned and lives every single day.

Where you can spend a Saturday morning on the water and a Saturday evening walking the charming streets of downtown, stopping into boutique shops and sitting down to a dinner that actually surprises you.

Our newest American Dream Network segment, Behind The Blue Door - Martin County FL Youth of the Year, premieres Saturday, May 23rd, and this one stayed with us.

In this episode, Kim shares the story behind the Youth of the Year program at the Boys & Girls Clubs, the highest honor a Club kid can receive. Since 1947, the program has recognized young people for leadership, service, academic excellence, and healthy lifestyles. It is not just an award. It is a reflection of who these young people already are, and who they are becoming.

This year's Martin County recipient, Angie P., represents the John & Marge Bolton Club in Port Salerno. And watching a young person stand up, face their fears, and chase something bigger than themselves is the kind of reminder we all need sometimes.

That is what moved us most about this story. The courage. The growth. The willingness to keep going, even when the road ahead feels bigger than you are.
