Following the terrible tragedy that struck Washington Island recently with the passing of two young souls in a tragic drowning, the family of the late David Thalman wants to make a difference in David’s name.

The Thalman Family approached Washington Island Fire & Rescue INC. and expressed a desire to see their tragedy become one of positivity. They started a campaign to help Washington Island FD get the rest of their funding for the much needed Fire/Rescue boat.

Our deepest condolences go out to their families and a heartfelt thank you as we embark on this fundraising journey.
