After some amazing men snow blowed and dug my car out of my garage after 4 days of not leaving the house - I got these photos of downtown Sturgeon Bay.
The winter before that, living in Sister Bay I lost power for 5 days and had to throw everything out of my fridge and freezer. Wisconsin isn’t for the weak, but thankfully I was born in a Wisconsin January snowstorm.

After spending many childhood summers in Egg Harbor, I’m proud to call Door County home year round.

I’ll always remember fourth grade, when we were asked to dress up as what we wanted to be when we grew up. It was the perfect excuse to wear a knit beret to school, hold a paintbrush, and declare with total confidence that I’d be an artist. Thank you to my clients, my parents, family, bf, and friends for always believing in me, pushing me to grow and not giving up on me.

Hi! My name is Leah, the owner of Karrels Design. I’ve spent the last 4 years running my year-round business in Door County, Wisconsin.

I help other business owners with the luxury of human-made creative work like photography, websites, design, and social media. My photography studio is based in Sturgeon Bay, while my ceramic practice is in Algoma.

While AI tries to take over our creative landscape, I offer something unique to each business I work with - meeting them in person to discuss their needs. I understand the complexity of our environment and the people who visit.
