Let's talk Chicken! Griddling, or cooking in general can be daunting, but it doesn't have to be! Chicken is one of those things I want to make sure its cooked all the way through, but still juicy ๐
Wanted to share some tips that have helped me cook chicken with ease, and know its going to come out perfect each time on my Blackstone! Below are some photos, and video of how I usually griddle chicken.
1. The best thing about chicken is that you can season it with a lot of different seasonings! To make it easy, just simple salt and pepper will make it taste delicious. Season one side, then lay that side down first to season the back side.
2. When adding your chicken (or any meat) on any hot surface, lay it down away from you so it doesn't splatter towards you.
3. Depending on the thickness of your chicken, I Iike to use my dome to cover the meat so it will help it cook all the way through. Sometimes I like to cut up the chicken into cubes or strips (cut vertical for a tender chicken) to help it cook faster, or even slicing them in half to make them thinner.
4. For safe eating, you'll want your chicken to be cooked at 165ยฐ!! This way you can ensure any harmful bacteria is killed.
5. Let your chicken rest after cooking! Let it rest for 5-10 minutes so the juices carry back into the chicken and keep it tender!
6. Cut up, and enjoy!!!
