A Prayer for Pope Francis

Gracious and merciful God, kind and true,
We lift our hearts in prayer to You.
Your servant Francis, weak and worn,
Needs Your strength to be reborn.

A voice that led with love so bright,
A beacon shining in the night.
Now in his pain, Lord, be near,
Calm his soul, erase his fear.

With gentle hands, his wounds repair,
Replace his burdens with Your care.
Let healing flow, let comfort reign,
Restore his joy, remove his pain.

Blessed Lord, hear our plea,
Wrap him in serenity.
Saints and angels, stand beside,
In God's embrace, let him abide.

O Shepherd true, through trials vast,
Your grace will heal, Your love will last.
With faith we trust, with hope we stay,
Lord, bring him strength in every way.
