Shocking video shows Gov. Hochul celebrating the “completion” of the CHPE transmission line, which has caused significant hardship for small businesses in Rockland County.

For more than 2 years, businesses in Stony Point, Haverstraw, and Congers have suffered substantial financial losses and have been pushed to the brink of bankruptcy or closure due to the ongoing construction associated with the CHPE pipeline. The CHPE pipeline was a state-approved project that brings Canadian electricity to Queens and New York City.

Gov. Hochul and New York State refused to provide assistance or relief to these small businesses. It took Rockland’s Congressman, Mike , to step in and secure $1 million from CHPE in funding that will go directly to struggling local businesses. Please make sure to support these businesses.

End of an Era: Canzona’s Market in Piermont to close after 37 years

After 37 incredible years, we have made the difficult decision to close our doors. Our final day of business will be June 30.

Since opening in 1988, Canzona’s Market has been more than just a deli, it has been a place where neighbors became friends, families gathered, and generations of customers stopped in for breakfast, lunch, catering, and conversation. We’ve been honored to be a part of your daily routines and your special occasions alike.

Piermont has been our home, and we are deeply grateful to this amazing community for supporting us through the years. Your loyalty, kindness, and friendships have meant more to our family than words can express.

To everyone who has walked through our doors, placed an order, recommended us to a friend, or simply stopped by just to say “hi” —thank you. Your support has made this journey possible, and we will always cherish the memories we’ve created together.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for allowing us to serve this community for nearly four decades. We hope you’ll stop by and see us before our final day on June 30.

With gratitude,
The Canzona Family ❤️
