Welp..I didn’t get to do many dig at the Copper Cannon Camps hidden sand pile in the woods. Too busy digging in other hidden spots.
I made the time for grandparents camps. A special camp weekend for grandparents who are raising their grandkids. Lots of smiling kids today. Always so great to see kids getting into rocks.

Couple of random prospects from this week into one post. Sure I have a ton of spots but I am always looking for more. Sometimes it’s just fun to take a walk in the woods and take pictures! Always finding something.

Coming in 2027 I will be offering 5 club group (discounted) digs and 10ish 1-3 people private digs.
Everyone starts at the beginner level. There’s a bit of an interview process, meeting required before digging usually over a beer or 2.
Tool and gear inspections before digging. All backcountry locations.
All adventures are custom.
Need me to carry your beer? Want me to bring lunch? Want me to carry all the tools? Want me to do all the hard work and you get all the reward?
Keep whatever you can carry out SAFELY
This was an intermediate dig. 1.5mile bushwack in, working in steep conditions
Adventures starting at $500 a full day, $300 a half day.

Working on the idea of guided digs still. Did a trial dig with East Coast Gem & Mineral Society today, to see if it would be fun offering club digs.
Success! I didn’t lose anyone in the woods
Next year I will be offering 5 discounted guided trips for mineral and gem clubs.

We went to my Staurolite and garnet spot in the morning and to my Dickson Diamond scepter location in the afternoon.

Well, I finally found something last week that I held off on posting. I went back and put in 4 11+ hour days in search of more like it. I think it may have been a fluke and that’s OK because that was my best crystal, I think I found to this point. My body is so sore, but my mind is soaring!
So much amethyst this year! I found three new spots and two of them will be more work with a lot of reward. That said I’m moving on to new locations. I feel like I need to move this crystal finding energy to other spots

A couple of crazy long days in the woods for me and Brewster this week. We’ve easily done over 20 miles in the back country.
Found a new zone and potentially 2 new big pockets. I can only barely scrape the surface with my prospector bag. Now it’s time to bring in help and some bigger tools.

Just over here still digging, living the good life and trying to remember to post too

Yesterday I went north and out away from everyone else. It was a day that I won’t forget anytime soon. I can’t wait to share more when the time is right.
Anyways, some really great smokys yesterday.
Just about a 12hr day . Hit a whole bunch of spots I haven’t been to in probably a year. All untouched waiting for me to come back.
