Following an almost worthless day yesterday, I needed a pick me up day. Easy, hard day. Brought big tools out to one of my new spots. Broke ledge and boulders. Lots of work by hand. Rewarding.
Brewster only had one episode today. I got stung in the back of the head. Starting to have 🐝 ptsd too.
Scored some more boulders to hit in the way out. 3 new pins and a pocket to revisit
Found some nice oyster mushrooms! 🍄‍🟫

I guess you’ll call me crazy since I had another free day and I didn’t go back and dig that beautiful amethyst again. I am 🤪
Two bag day today. Bottle dump digging in the morning and a new prospect this afternoon. Great treasure to start the day and pretty barren rock in the afternoon. I did find that glorious chicken of the woods mushroom and some small quartz plates.

Long dry 3.8mile day. Lots of color, lots of potential. 2 new spots to return to.
I think Brewster is having ptsd from his bee stings. So so weird his episodes. Really hoping he comes out of having these or he won’t be able to go out in the woods.

Welcome to Small Pocket Prospect
I got lost digging in the loose pegmatite but what I should have been doing is breaking up the larger rocks.
I did break a few but then the area ate my hammer. It’s replaceable and it will be a good relic for the next generation.
I feel like there is a big pocket nearby. I put the time in today and it’s only my second time in this area. I was happy with what I carried out. Plus plenty more to explore
I had to do some creative caveman field trimming to get some of the clusters bag sized.
On the way out I found a big grouping of boulder with large pockets, I managed to get my geo pick to pry off some rock to open a pocket and then..
Wham yellow jacket nest! I got stung 3 times and Brewster at least twice. Tagged that for next time.
5 miles. Hard day. Worth it. Crazy hazy day with the Canadian wildfires. Was just about as north as we dig.
Excited to clean and inspect. Lots of great minerals in this area

I guided a fun adventure today to a favorite place. Great finds by all! Brewster rolled in something stinky. Think that snake wanted to bite me

Quick adventure after work. Went looking for quartz clusters and Chantrell mushrooms. Found lots of quartz but only one small half eaten mushroom. One small specimen in the bag and lots of garden/stone wall rock.
I also got stung on the ankle by a yellow jacket. Thought I killed him, but I just got him stuck on my sock and he stung me at least two more times. Isn’t it true the more times you get stung the more allergic you get? That makes 6 times in ten days….

Sometimes it’s just a walk in the woods with my favorite dog friend. Just didn’t get out in time to make anything happen today but moved some dirt and got in the woods

Quick trip to the Dickson Diamond prospect yesterday afternoon. Glad I left Brewster at home, we ran into a young porcupine up a tree on the way in and he was on the ground on the way out. Quills and Brewster do not equal a good time. Nature and diamonds always make for a good adventure
