Crawford County R-1 has signed on to a lawsuit challenging a provision of the bill that threatens their largest source of funding.

Breaking news brought to you by Modern Auto..Sullivan Fire responded to 427 Pine St., Sullivan at 5:35 a.m. for an apartment fire.
Firefighters got the fire under control in the vacant apartment.
The fire reportedly started on a chair in the home.

PAVING PROJECT IN SULLIVAN..

🚧 Paving Project Notice – Starting Monday, September 15 🚧

The City of Sullivan will begin a street paving project on Monday, September 15, 2025. Residents may notice milling operations starting as early as Friday, September 12, which will be minimally disruptive.

📍 Scheduled Work Areas:
Day 1 (Sept. 15): Chapman Street & North Church Street
Day 2 (Sept. 16): North Church Street (South of Euclid)
Day 3 (Sept. 17): North Park Street & Elmont Road

🛠️ Milling is expected to be completed in one day, with paving to follow according to the schedule above.
Please use caution in these areas and follow any posted signage or directions from crews.

⛅ Please note: This schedule is weather dependent and may be adjusted as needed.

Older adults will outnumber children in Missouri in the next five years and by 2060, the shift is expected to be even greater. Rural communities could be challenged the most due to lack of hospitals and long-term care facilities. The state is attempting to prepare with a Master Plan on Aging.
