Theft Leads To Arrest

On May 30, 2026, Deputies responded to the 4400 block of Glaser Hollow Road regarding a report of a stolen vehicle.

While deputies were en route, the suspect returned to the scene and stole a tractor. The suspect drove the tractor away, collided with a tree, and then fled on foot.

During the investigation, deputies determined that the suspect had driven onto the reporting party's field before becoming stuck. Deputies also learned that the suspect unlawfully entered a neighboring residence and changed clothing before leaving the area.

The suspect later returned to the residence and was confronted by the reporting party. She then stole a tractor, crashed it into a tree, and fled on foot before law enforcement arrived.

Deputies, assisted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, ultimately located the female suspect hiding in a screened in porch at a nearby residence. She was taken into custody without further incident.

After being evaluated by Osage EMS personnel, the suspect was transported to the Franklin County Sheriff's Adult Detention Center for formal charges.
