We have been riding out the massive heat wave hitting most people. Today has been exceptionally hot for us but we are glad we got a semi-shady spot. This temp was taken at 18:30 this afternoon.

What’s it really like to RV at the U.S. Air Force Academy?

We’ve stayed at Peregrine Pines FamCamp several times, but this time we wanted to do more than just give you another campground tour.

We’re taking you inside the Air Force Academy to show you what it’s actually like to camp here—from the campground and getting your RV onto the Academy to exploring the campus, aircraft displays, and some pretty incredible Colorado scenery.

One of the best parts of life on the road is crossing paths with good friends along the way! ❤️🚐

We had an absolute blast hanging out with happyplacediaries — sharing some laughs, swapping travel stories, and just enjoying time together.

The RV lifestyle may take us in different directions, but every now and then our routes cross…and those are some of the best stops of all.

**Thinking about a Class A... so we're putting some feelers out there!**

As many of you know, we’ve been considering making the move from our fifth wheel into a Class A motorcoach. Nothing is set in stone yet, but before we get too far down that road, we thought we’d see if there might be any interest in our **2021 Keystone Montana 3791RD**.

We’ve lived and traveled full-time in this RV and have made a LOT of upgrades and modifications over the years to make it better suited for full-time travel and off-grid camping.

Some of the bigger upgrades include:

☀️ **2040 watts of solar**

🔋 **800Ah of lithium batteries**

⚡ **Dual Victron 3000VA inverter/chargers running in parallel**

🛞 **MORryde Independent Suspension**

And honestly, there are **far too many interior upgrades, modifications and improvements to list here.**

This is definitely not a stock Montana. We’ve spent years setting it up for the way we travel, with a very robust electrical system and the ability to spend extended time off-grid.

We’re currently traveling in Colorado and headed toward Texas, so we thought this might be a good opportunity to see if someone out this way has been looking for a well-equipped 3791RD.

We’re **not putting together a full-blown sales listing just yet**. We’re simply putting some feelers out to see if there might be someone seriously interested before we move forward with our next coach.

We’ll add several photos to this post, and we’d be happy to provide more pictures, details about the upgrades and modifications, or answer any questions.

We did some exploring yesterday, and what a day it was!

We started the morning with the famous Cowboy Breakfast at Winding River Resort , then spent some time exploring the beautiful campground.

Just when we thought the morning couldn't get any better, a young moose wandered right through the campground and stopped in the pond directly across from our campsite. Watching it feed for several minutes was an incredible experience—and definitely one of those moments you never forget.

After that, we headed into the Rocky Mountain National Park for one of our favorite scenic drives. We made our way up to the Alpine Visitor Center to visit a friend, sitting at an impressive 11,796 feet above sea level. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and the cool mountain air was a welcome break from the summer heat.

Some days remind you exactly why we chose this lifestyle. Yesterday was definitely one of those days.

Rain? No problem. Wet feet? Already handled. Looking majestic without even trying? Just another day.
