Wally’s Squadron celebrated its 35th R/C Fly-In at Phillip's Run Rd. in Summersville, bring aviation enthusiasts together for an impressive weekend of flying.

The event featured an incredible variety of remote-controlled aircraft, including turbine-powered jets, high-speed gliders, and much more.

Friends of Summersville Lake State Park recently welcomed the community for their first event, “Wild, Wonderful, and Ready to Welcome You,” a special event showcasing everything Summersville Lake State Park has to offer.

The event turned exploring the park into a scavenger hunt, taking visitors to five different sites throughout the park. Each stop featured vendors, organizations, activities, and opportunities to learn more about the recreation, natural beauty, and experiences waiting to be discovered at West Virginia’s newest state park.

Country Roads Healthcare officially celebrated the grand opening of its new Summersville location with a ribbon cutting hosted by the Summersville Area Chamber of Commerce.

The new office, located on Wal Street, expands Country Roads Healthcare's services into Nicholas County, bringing another healthcare resource to the community.

The Summersville Area Chamber of Commerce once again helped local students get ready for the new school year with its annual Back to School Bash, helping families from all over Nicholas County.

Thanks to the generosity of Chamber members, local businesses, organizations, and volunteers, children received free school supplies to help them start the school year prepared and confident.

Events like this are a great reminder of what makes our community special. When people come together to support our students, everyone benefits.
