I talk a lot about antiques having “souls” and I want to tell you why. Every piece that you find, even in that dusty corner of that antique mall down the street, has a story to tell. It has lived so many lives before you and, when you bring it home, you get the unique opportunity to add to that story. Think about how many mundane life events these pieces have seen. How many life changing moments that have witnessed. They have been collecting memories long before we were born and will continue to collect them long after we are gone. This is why I always say that it’s SO important to incorporate some of these pieces into your home. They bring a certain warmth and comfort that you just can’t get from a box store.

This is one of my favorite things about Celadon Home. Not only do they carry beautiful and unique new pieces of new furniture and decor but they also take great care in bringing in only the most special antiques from India (like my desk) as well as from so many other places around the globe. So anyway, I’m just here to say buy those beautiful new pieces but don’t forget to mix in some one-of-a-kind antiques. Bring a little bit of history home. Your home and your central nervous system will thank you ❤️

When I say that I have had a lifelong fear of public speaking, I’m pretty sure that I left Clemson University and went to art school solely to avoid having to take a public speaking class 😂 Thank you for pushing me way out of my comfort zone today Braderie South Jekyll Island Club Resort ! And thank for the MOST amazing weekend! I already can’t wait for next year!

My baby turned 14 yesterday 😭 I don’t know how it’s possible but it happened. We invited his besties, who basically live here anyway (if you have teenagers, you will understand this). We let everyone make their own pizzas, all of which were questionable. We sang, we ate, we played games, and we celebrated my birthday boy so hard. I am so proud of this kid. He has the kindest, most gentle heart. He is the most honest person on earth. But the kind of honest where he lies constantly but then immediately tells on himself because he can’t handle the guilt for even a full 60 seconds. He is infuriatingly strong willed and infinitely curious, both traits that I know will serve him well one day. Happy birthday my sweet Charlie ❤️ your next-level ADHD, and refusal to brush your teeth with toothpaste unless I’m policing you, give me so much anxiety but, luckily, all of your amazing qualities more than make up for it 😂 I love you my Charlie Barlie. I cant wait to see what this next year brings you.

One month married to my very best friend and I can honestly say that it doesn’t feel any different than it did before. Bobby Mccullough you have my heart forever and for always.

One month was also the perfect opportunity to post some of the beautiful photos captured by my amazing friends Posy Quarterman Photography and Kelly Christine Sutton. We knew we wanted a small, relaxed, and intimate wedding and that the only two things we really cared about, wedding-wise, were the photos/video and the flowers. Actually, if you know Bobby, you know he was also very particular about the music. But I digress. It was really important to me that we captured this most special day beautifully on film, and that we hired people I love to be behind the camera. I was so beyond grateful that my dear friends of 12 years, Posy Quarterman Photography and Kelly Christine Sutton, were willing to drop everything and show up for us. This perfect day was made even more so by the two of them and their incredible talent. Thank you to both of you for these perfect photos and the memories they will give us for the rest of our lives. Picking only 20 was almost impossible.

I am who I am 🤷🏻‍♀️ Thank you so much Milton & King for having every wallpaper option under the sun so I can at least focus my neurosis in one place instead of having to hop all over the internet to find what I’m looking for. I’d be lost without you 😂

Nothing like a blind taste test challenge to remind kids of what they already knew, they much prefer to other mom-approved options. Bonus: you can now feel even better about eating (or giving your kids, if you feel kind enough to share) Garden Veggie Snacks because they are now made with Avocado Oil and real veggies! They contain no artificial flavors or artificial preservatives, colors are from natural sources, they are gluten free annnnnd Garden Veggie Straws now include a sweet potato straw!
And it doesn’t hurt that they are delicious. When we finished filming, I may or may not have locked myself in the closet and polished off the entire bag of Veggie Puffs before anyone else could get their hands on them.
