Quite a while back you may remember (or not) a video clip we posted that was audio only. It was simply titled "Bush Boys 1". The musical quartet was recorded near the Serengeti plain with a single microphone under pretty bad conditions, but it worked out well enough that I decided to bring two mics and stands to recorded them this year. This is the first of several songs and this one includes a Maasai choir of sorts. Most of these people see each other less than once a year, but they sound as though they've been singing together daily. This speaks to the life and tradition of the Maasai people despite the modern world that is quickly enchroaching. The title was unclear, perhaps lost in translation. The roof is watertight, but still has a long way to go.

Demolition is finished and rebuilding is well under way. We're hoping the bulk of the exterior work is done before the year's end.
