Berkeley County prepares for possible tropical impacts; sandbags available
Berkeley County officials are preparing for possible heavy rainfall this weekend and potential impacts from Tropical System 94L, which forecasters anticipate could affect the area early next week.
Emergency Management staff are closely monitoring weather conditions while Roads and Bridges crews inspect flood-prone areas, storm drains, and culverts across the county. Residents are encouraged to track updates from the National Weather Service and utilize the county’s Hurricane Guide, which is available in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
The county’s Emergency Operations Center remains at OPCON 3, or normal operating conditions, officials said.
