ATTENTION!!!
Here's a little reminder about a BIG event happening at Charleston Elks Lodge 242 Halloween night. It's the best Costume Party in town starting at 7:30 PM in the lodge room. Admission is free, and the grill will be open. DJ-T will be spinning the tunes for your dancing enjoyment. Get there early and party late!

HALLOWEEN PARTY ALERT!!!!
That's right, my friends, it is that time of year once again. In just five days Halloween will be here. That means Lodge #242 will again host its annual Halloween Costume Party, which we all know is the Biggest, the Baddest, and the Best-est Halloween Party in all of Charleston! THIS YEAR, THE PARTY WILL BE IN THE LODGE ROOM WITH PLENTY OF ROOM!! Once again, I have the honor of being your most Frightful DJ, throwing out the best Halloween tunes to be found anywhere. I already have the play list built and it is fabulous! Just like always, I have music of all kinds included, and this year, I have a lot of get down, funky town, party time tunes. As always, I will play your requests, so YOU get to hear what YOU want. There will also be prizes for the best costumes, maybe some dance move contests (think Monster Mash or Thriller) and who know what else?!?! The grill will have a Monster Mash Potato Bar for your dining enjoyment for the small sum of $10.00. It's going to be another epic night of fun at Lodge #242. Plan to get there early and to stay late. You don't want to miss a minute of the fun. Bring your friends, your family, and your neighbors.

To all of you who attended our Country Music Night at Elks Lodge 242 this past Saturday night, I thoroughly enjoyed playing music for you. I really enjoy the change of pace that Country Music gives us. Y'all made it a lot of fun by keeping the dance floor hot! I hope we get to do this again really soon. Thank you all!

The barbecue dinner coinciding with Country Music tonight will begin at 6 PM and end at 7:30 PM. I'll start playing music at 7 PM. It going to be a great night with lots of good food and great music. GET THERE EARLY! 😁

Thank you to all of you who came to Lodge 242 last night for the Friday Night Dance Party. It seemed that everyone enjoyed the music, and especially enjoyed the Tina Turner and Elvis DANCE-ALIKE contests! We had a lot of fun! If you weren't there, you missed a good time. I'll see you again on Saturday, August 16 for Country Music Night in the lounge. I can't wait! I'll see you then!

So, y'all know that DJ-T is always looking for a little something different to interject into the Friday night festivities at Elks Lodge 242, right? Last night I had a conversation with our House Chair, DJ Rich, and we decided to try something we think will be fun. Tonight, during the Friday Night Dance Party, we are going to have a TINA TURNER DANCE-ALIKE CONTEST! The song will be "Proud Mary," and you ladies will have the opportunity to win a complimentary beverage at the bar. (And no, high-heels are not required, because we don't want any of you ladies turning an ankle. :^)

Also, we are going to give the gentlemen a chance to also show off their ELVIS MOVES to "Jail House Rock!" Fellas, get those legs, and especially your knees, limbered up! The men's winner also will receive a complimentary drink at the bar!

We hope you'll play along, and as always, have some Friday Night Fun Time with your fellow Elks. I'll see you there tonight!!

Good morning, all, from DJ-T! Congratulations to my sister DJ Diane Till for giving us a night of great music last Friday at the Elks Lodge. She was really rolling out some great tunes! This coming Friday night, August 1, I'll be on the musical hot seat spinning your favorite songs for your dancing and partying pleasure. Friday nights are always a party at Lodge 242 and this coming Friday will be no different. Make plans now to be there and to have a wonderful time with your Elk friends. Bring your requests and your dancing shoes!

Then on Saturday, August 16, Country Music Night returns to the lounge. I'll be playing a wide variety of both old and new country, so get ready to two-step, waltz, line dance, and a whole lot more. Make plans to mosey down to the Lodge 242 dance hall for a lot of dancing fun on a Saturday night in Chuck-town!
