Rather then focus on one specific manufacture or apparatus model, this book traces the evolution of the tillered aerial in New York City from the first motorized tiller delivered in 1912 through the current in service units. Also included are the wide variety of tractors purchased through the years that were used to power older tillers. Many never before published photos.

This is a specialty unit that is a part of the LVFR Type 1 Hazmat Response Team. The 4 person crew consists of a Captain, Engineer, Paramedic and Firefighter. All 4 personnel working on the unit must also be certified as a Hazmat Tech.

This unit responds to fires and medical emergencies like all fire apparatus, but the CBRNE also works closely with the LVFR Bomb Squad and LVMPD ARMOR unit.

Well I finally got my January-February 2021 issue in the mail today which only took the USPS 6 months to deliver. Now I can enjoy this issue and hope the rest follow soon.
I am trying to find an article that Michael Wilbur (FDNY) wrote for FAJ in the late 90's or early 00's about the history of the tower ladder. I can't seem to find it in my back issues. Does anybody remember in what issue this was featured? It covered Grove's entry into the business.
Really nice rig here! Sad to see her go but hoping someone out there can pass this along... https://www.facebook.com/559369660888260/posts/1969808759844336/
I received word that Philadelphia Fire Historian Jack Wright has passed away from cancer, he was an absolutely amazing source of knowledge about the Philadelphia Fire Department and a true buff’s buff. He used to also arrange bus trips around the city for buffs to visit some of the stations. Rest In Peace Jack and thank you for all of your years of dedicated knowledge to the Philadelphia Fire Department!
As of March 21 I have yet to receive the January/February or the March/April addition.

Has anyone in the Philadelphia area having the same issue?

I ordered a replacement January/February issue on March 11and that issue was delivered to me on March 15.

I’m guessing I may have to do this again to get the March/April issue.

I’ve heard the issue is the Island Road Postal facility, but seriously.
Everyone needs practice scenarios, 10 different buildings with color pictures and note paper included. 20% discount if you pre-order $40 (no money until we ship)

I know the FAJ team has no control on the USPS and that FAJ does everything possible to get the magazine to us on time. So, I would just like to say THANK YOU for the fantastic March-April issue that just arrived in my mailbox! Great reading.
I got a suggestion for future issues do an issues on classic apparatus like American La France, Mack etc
Chicago Engine 2 back in service after rehab
Hello: I want to renew my subscription and get back issues I missed. Let me know my cost?
Did the Sept/Oct issue go out yet? I assume if it did we can blame the post office slowdown on the delay in receiving it?
What was the first issue to feature behind the fence and what was the last issue to feature this section?
