The wait is officially over! Built Different Brands is proud to announce the fun-filled opening weekend lineup for Sumter’s first-ever Dave’s Hot Chicken, located at 1135 Broad St.
The cult sensation will celebrate its official public Grand Opening on Friday, June 12, followed by a high-energy Community Day on Saturday, June 13.
SUMTER OPENING WEEKEND SCHEDULE:
Grand Opening & Mystery Giveaway (Friday, June 12): Doors open for full meal service with two high-volume giveaway sessions: 10:30 AM – 2:00 PM and 5:00 – 8:00 PM.
Z95.5 Radio will be on-site with a live broadcast Friday from 2 to 4 PM! Cat Country 99.3 on Friday from 4 to 6 PM and Saturday from 2 to 4 PM on JAMZ 92.3 and 93.3!
The restaurant will distribute a total of 500 Mystery Offer Envelopes to dining guests, giving them a chance to win exclusive rewards, including Free Dave’s Hot Chicken for a Year!
Community Day (Saturday, June 13): From 2:00 – 4:00 PM, we honor Sumter’s local heroes and neighborhood organizations, transforming the Broad Street location into a family-friendly community block party featuring a DJ.
The Saturday afternoon Community Day lineup brings local flavor and community-first traditions directly to the restaurant grounds. Attendees can explore interactive on-site displays featuring local fire trucks and police vehicles, honoring Sumter’s dedicated first responders. Regional Girl Scout troops will be on-site assisting with guest hospitality and facility greetings, fulfilling programmatic leadership objectives to earn a dedicated merit badge by the conclusion of the event.
