The hats are officially off!

Thanks to everyone who helped make Hats Off to Summer such a memorable evening. We loved seeing old friends, meeting new ones, and celebrating the people and stories that make this community what it is.

Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, sponsored, bid, and donated in support of community media in the Northshire and Mountain towns.

Feel free to tag yourself or your friends in any of the photos!

Cat-tv Bennington and GNAT-TV are partnering to present the Shires One-Minute Film Festival, and we’re inviting filmmakers, students, first-time creators, and anyone with a story to tell to make an original film that’s 60 seconds or less.

That’s it. One minute.

Funny, heartfelt, weird, experimental, polished, messy, animated, or impossible to categorize - we want all of it.

No prior experience is needed, and no fancy equipment is required. You can film on your phone, use your own camera, or borrow equipment through CAT-TV or GNAT-TV.

Submission deadline: September 18

Selected films will be screened publicly at the Bennington Theater on October 17 as part of a community celebration of local filmmaking and creative experimentation.

Details and submission form:
https://gnat-tv.org/film-fest/

If you have questions or need help accessing equipment, reach out to CAT-TV or GNAT-TV. Whether you’ve made dozens of films or none at all, we’d love to see what you create.
