MY MOM'S FRIEND OUTED MY PREGNANCY WITHOUT PERMISSION – SHE WAS DEAD WRONG.
When I found out I was pregnant, it was a shock. I'm only 20, and it wasn't something I was ready to tell anyone but my boyfriend and my doctor.
I made an appointment at a well-rated OB office, only to discover that the receptionist was an old family friend of my mom's—Monica. I hadn't seen her in years, but I knew they still kept in touch occasionally.
But she wasn't just a receptionist.
Monica worked as a medical assistant for the OB-GYN. I reassured myself: surely, she knew confidentiality rules. Surely, she would be professional.
Boy, I was SO wrong.
When I got home, my mom was already waiting – SMILING, CONGRATULATING ME.
Monica had texted her about my pregnancy before I even made it home.
Thankfully, my mom was supportive. But I was furious. That was private medical information, shared without consent.

I'm 37, single, and it's all my mom's fault! She's made my life a HELL! I was sick of her over-the-top "care," but the worst part? She ruined my love life. She scared off EVERY single guy I ever dated. None of them were ever "good enough." But then Theo came along. I felt it — he was the one. So, I didn't want my mom to find out.
