Well, my first 10k journey is over. It was probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. My entire purpose for this race was to raise money for MSAA (an amazing association who helps those with MS) and help bring awareness to MS. As many know, my husband was DX with MS in 2014. It has definitely been a journey and a learning curve for both of us. There are many challenges he faces, especially during “flare ups.” As I was facing each challenging moment on the course, I reminded myself that he pushes through so I can too. So I kept pushing and refused to give up… even when I was passed by the balloon ladies. A huge shout out to MSAA for being there to support and cheer the runners on. A huge thank you to those who donated towards this. If you haven’t and are still interested, they are allowing donations to be made until March 1st.
