⸻ I miss you tonight. Not the chaos, not the confusion—but the sister I believed you were. The one I laughed with. The one I leaned on. The one I trusted more than anyone.

You’ve been showing up in my path again, and it’s stirring up memories I thought had settled. Maybe they’ll never fully settle. Because I didn’t just lose a friend—I lost someone who was woven into my daily life, someone who felt like family.

But here’s the thing: I didn’t walk away easily. I gave you chances—so many chances. I poured out love, warnings, grace, and hope. Over and over again, I tried to believe that this time would be different. And every time, I was let down.

You texted recently. You want coffee. You say you want to work it out. And part of me still aches to believe that could be real. But I know better now. I’ve had to choose peace over proximity. Boundaries over nostalgia. Healing over the illusion of change.

I didn’t go no contact because I stopped caring. I went no contact because I finally cared about myself enough to stop bleeding for someone who wouldn’t stop cutting.

Still… I miss you. I probably always will.

But I don’t miss the way I felt around you at the end. Small. Doubting myself. Apologizing for things that weren’t mine to carry.

So tonight, I’m just letting the sadness move through me—not as a signal to go back, but as a sign that I loved deeply, and that love deserved more than what it got.
